Marksmanship, Heritage & History @ Meeker Apr. 16 & 17 Sept. 24 & 25

Why?
-To learn to shoot a rifle — to learn to shoot it just as well as your forefathers.
-To hear the story that every American should hear. About how your forebears took up arms, on the first day of the American Revolution, and did things no other people in the world have ever done. To learn things you don't learn in school, about that day. About where the Revolution really started — it did not start in Lexington, nor did it start in Concord. According to John Adams, it was over before it started. Be there to hear The Story, because to hear it is to remember what they did, that day. And to remember, is to honor them for doing it.
-To gather new hope for the future. To see Americans — volunteer Americans — not sitting around complaining: no sir, out doing something about it — like saving their country, one person at a time.
-To meet other Americans with whom you can enjoy learning to shoot, and learning more about the momentous events of April 19th, 1775. So you'll go home with your hope for America re-kindled and enlarged because you know that there are others just like you.
-To qualify to purchase an M1 Garand — still one of the world's finest battle rifles — and a true piece of American history...direct from the Civilian Marksmanship Program for a price several hundred dollars under market.

22 cal single shot with bull barrels, 50 feet at NRA targets, Jackets, Slings, Kneeling rolls, 3 position, prone, off hand (standing), kneeling. All matches shot at ECCL are shot on Monday nights.

HUNTER'S ED

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND FREE

Completion of a Hunter's Education Course is required for all first time hunters. The Oho Hunter's Ed Course is recognized and accepted by all 50 states and the Canadian Provinces for purchase of a hunting license.

AUGUST 27 & 28, 2010 - Saturday 10:00 till 4:00 and Sunday 12:00 till 4:00
         Two day, 10 hour class. Must be present both days.

OCTOBER 22, 2010 - Home Study Completion Session. 10:00am till 2:00pm.

Sept through April range is not open until 10am to allow for hunting.
(Sun makes it difficult to shoot until after 10am anyway!)

MeetinGS

REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING - Last Monday of every month 7pm at the Club House.
If Monday is a holiday then meeting will be held the following Wednesday.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING & ELECTION - Last Monday in December at 7pm
While attending regular monthly meetings is not required we ask that you try to attend the annual meeting. Trustees serve three year terms and every year at least two Trustee's terms expire. Nominations are held at the November meeting. The election is held at the December annual meeting.

CLEAN UP DAY	2011 April 9 @ 8:30 Lunch & drinks provided. Club Members own this club - it's their responsibility to keep the building and grounds in good repair.
